Develop Your Potential
Develop Your Potential
by Joyce Meyer - posted August 08, 2012
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. —Ecclesiastes 9:10
Webster’s 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language defines potential as “existing in possibility, not in act.” Potential cannot manifest without form. Like concrete it must have something to be poured into, something to give it shape and make it useful. To develop potential properly you must have a plan and pray over that plan, you must have a purpose, and you must be doing something.
Many people are unhappy because they aren’t doing anything to develop their potential. In fact, many of them never develop their potential because they don’t do anything except complain that they’re not doing anything!
If you want to see your potential developed to its fullness, don’t wait until everything is perfect. Do something now. Start laying your hand to whatever is in front of you. You cannot start at the finish line. You must start at the beginning like everybody else.

Lavender bath for sore muscles
Here is my go to remedy for sore muscles or if you just need to relax.
Draw a hot bath and add 1 1/2 cups Epsom salts, 1 tsp lavender essential oil and some fresh dried lavender if you have it on hand. Then just grab a book, a glass of wine (or preferred beverage)light some candles and enjoy your bath. Ahhhh.....

Juicing
So, we bought a juicer about a month ago. Let me tell you, I LOVE juicing! I juice as often as possible. I mainly juice fruits for pre workout meals or post workout pick me ups.I've tried making detox juices with veggies and had a really hard time getting them down. One of things I love about juicing is that I re-use the fruit pulp as facial masks or I throw it in a pot of water on top of the stove to simmer and make my home smell fabulous! If you're not juicing, I highly recommend it. We bought the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Express. It's easy to use, easy to clean and quiet. What are some of your favorite juicing recipes?
My favorite Pre or Post Workout Juice
6 fresh strawberries - tops cut off
1 orange - peeled
1 carrot
2 small or 1 large Granny Smith apple cored
Handful fresh blueberries
Handful fresh green grapes
Handful fresh baby spinach
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
ice cubes
Juice all fruit. I use a glass and do this in increments. When the glass gets too full, I pour the juice into my Protein powder shaker then continue juicing in the glass. When all fruit is juiced and poured into shaker, I add the protein powder on top and two ice cubes. Shake and enjoy. I found that if I put protein powder in shaker first and juice on top of powder that the powder has a harder time dissolving. Enjoy!
Happy Hump Day!
Well, it's been a long time since I've posted anything. A lot has happened in my life since I started this blog but, all for the better. I am anxious to get things posted and share what I've been learning. So, stay tuned for for updates!
